Kevin Trueman Collection Brisbane, Ex. Michael Hamson) Period/Date: Circa 1930's Materials: hardwood, natural pigments, bailer shell, abrus seeds, natural twine, trade cloth Description: Here's a fine Bamu River male figure offered from my personal collection. It head is turned slightly to the left and its face is animated with inset seeds in the eye sockets. It is deeply incised and boldly pigmented featuring a traditional Bailer shell Phallocrypt secured with a woven fiber belt. In excellent condition showing evidence of long use and handling. Figures of this vintage and quality are rare and seldom seem for sale. Presented on a custom metal display stand. Dimensions: Height 34.5" (88 cm), Width 5" (12.5 cm) Price: Upon Request
